What goes best with Meatballs without the Meat. That’s right Garlic Bread without the Garlic or the butter ?

Ingredients

1 large bloomer loaf. (This was Tomato and Olive from the local baker)
1 cup grated cheese

3 or 4 Spring Onions, finely chopped

1/2 teaspoon chilli paste

1/2 teaspoon of garlic paste…… for God’s sake don’t tell her. ?

A good glug of olive oil.

All mixed up into a paste for filling the bread.

Method

Slice the loaf, cross cut and then at right angles across the loaf but not all of the way through.

Spread the slices and stuff a handful of the filling into each slice in one direction and then in the other.
Cover with tinfoil tightly and put in the oven at 200C for about 15 minutes. Check halfway through and leave uncovered for the last 5 minutes or so to ensure the cheese is well melted.
