Ingredients
Dry stuff
8oz Plain Flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 teaspoon mixed spice
mix all together in a large bowl
Wet stuff
4oz black treacle
4 oz golden syrup
4oz butter
2 oz soft brown sugar
weigh out into a small pot, zero the scale.
melt the wet ingredients and mix together until smooth.
2 eggs
4oz milk
Whisk the eggs and weigh in 4 oz of milk.
mix the wet ingredients with a hand whisk and add the mixture into the dry ingredients and mix together then add in the egg and milk and whisk together into a smooth batter
Pour into a 8 inch square tin and cook at 180C for about an hour.
