Ingredients
Cook of 2 breasts of chicken, sliced into chunks, in a little oil. 

3 tablespoons of vegetable oil  

1/2 onion, grated

1/2 onion, large chunk

1/4 green pepper, large chunk

1/4 red pepper, large chunk

1 tomato, sliced  

1/4 teaspoon of salt  

1 teaspoon of fenugreek leaves

1/2 teaspoon of ginger paste

1/2 teaspoon of garlic paste

1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder  

1 teaspoon curry powder  

1/2 teaspoon of coriander powder  

1/2 teaspoon of cumin powder  

1/4 teaspoon of garam masala powder  

3 tablespoons of tomato pure, in 3 tablespoons of boiling water

2 teaspoons of Kashmiri chilli powder

2 green chillies, sliced  

1 teaspoon of sugar  

2 tablespoons of balti paste 

Half a pint of boiling water  

Method  

Heat the oil and add the grated onions and sweat for a few minutes. 

Add the onions, peppers and tomatoes and continue to cook for another couple of minutes. 

Add the salt, fenugreek leaves, garlic and ginger and stir through. 

Then Add the turmeric, curry powder, coriander, cumin, garam masala and stir through for a couple of minutes, adding some water if it gets too dry.   

Add the tomato pure, Kashmiri chilli powder, sugar and sliced chillies and stir through. 

Add the chicken, balti paste and remaining water a bit at a time and cook through for another 10 minutes.
