Pasta shells, macaroni or other shapes
1 large broccoli head
100g grated cheese (added at the end)
2 tsp grated lemon zest
2 tbsp lemon juice
5 tbsp olive oil
30g parmesan or hard cheese, finely grated
1 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp mixed herbs of oregano
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
WHILE PASTA IS COOKING:
Chop broccoli into small florets and drop into salted boiling water for a few minute to cook before the pasta is ready but don’t let it go soft.
Place Sauce ingredients in a container/jar with lid. Take 1 cup pasta cooking water and add to the container.
Add just 1/2 the cup pasta water to Pasta Sauce jar (keep the rest in case the sauce is too thick) and give it a shake.
Drain pasta and broccoli, put both back into the pasta pot.
Then pour over the sauce and add the grated cheese. Stir well, adding more pasta water if required.
