Another Granny Law thing that I’ve just remembered. I better put it on her Tablet and Sugary Treats Page.
This isn’t really a measurement thing. A knob, a dollop, a spoonful, a handful.
Ingredients and options:
Large “eating” Apples
Brown Sugar
Butter
Optional : dried fruit or nuts, oat meal.
Method
Core out the unpeeled apples and put them on a baking tray/dish.
Mix a knob of butter and some brown sugar (dried fruit or nuts or oats) together in a bowl and then stuff the apple centres with as much mixture as you can pack in.
Bake in the oven at 170c for about 45 minutes until very soft and soufflé’d inside. Baste the Apples with the juices from the tray as they cook.
